International Friendship Day

We celebrated International Friendship Day today.

We learned about the  ASEAN Community and the pupils watched this video in the hall. We were treated by special performances by our P4 pupils.

Thanks Lucas for helping us take these nice photos.

Thanks Chloe for capturing these photos for us. Boys you all are really creative with your funny faces. LOL !!!

Multiplication Factual Fluency with Ipads

We used Ipads app to practise our multiplication Factual Fluency.

They were glad to work with their weather partner of the day. Children learned best when they are with their best friends. May they master their times tables facts well and I look forward to giving out the Multiplication Champion badges next week after our performance task.

PAL- Performing Arts Lessons

For our first lesson of PAl-Performing Arts, the pupils learned how to

1. Discuss and perform an action with their peers (Social Emotional Learning , SEL  - Self-awareness)
2. Beat a rhythm pattern using hand jive with a friend (SEL-Social Awareness)
3. Share their responses with their peers (SEL- Relationship management)
4. Respect other people's personal space (SEL- Social Awareness)

For the hand Jive, they have to create their own 4 syllables words. The pupils were creative an came out with :

Mrs Ow Yong
Mdm Geetha
Roti Prata
Water Melon
Pokemon Go
Water bottle
Durian Mango

I enjoy having the chance to bond with them over the PAL period as I get to see the other side of them. The chance to observe how each child relate to their peers, how they resolve their disagreements etc. My 2 compassion pupils have grown up quite a bit and I am glad they are gelling very well.
